About Adam Coupe Photography_

As an architectural photographer I work with architectural practices, developers, main contractors, construction manufacturers and commercial organisations who need an architectural photographer to create stunning digital images, many of which have assisted customers to win industry awards.

Time is invested to develop insights into the needs of clients and to provide a flexible, responsive service which focuses on producing architectural photography which really works for each business and its audience. Many clients retain us to shoot structures or installations in all regions as they feel that they benefit from one architectural photographer creating a consistency in 'look & feel' throughout their marketing activities.

An all inclusive service is provided that ensures that you receive invoices with costs as originally quoted.  Care should be taken when comparing prices from an architectural photographer.  Traditionally travel time to and from location, burning images to DVD, supplying high resolution files, providing hard copy thumbnail contact sheets and most importantly assigning copyright for images created, were charged as extra costs.  We do not charge for travel time to your location from our base in Berkshire.

Copyright is a much misunderstood area for customers.  Most customers understandably believe that all images resulting from their shoot should be their property including copyright.  This is generally not the case.

Architectural photographers have historically retained the copyright for all images that they create meaning that they own the images and 'loan' them to their clients for use in agreed activities for an agreed period.  Typically this period was for two years and then renegotiated if the image was still in use.  The intensity of use and form had a direct bearing on the fees charged eg. prominent use on your website homepage would have a higher negotiated fee than a low circulation and therefore less viewed newsletter.

This approach strikes most people who commission photography as something from a bygone era and not at all how they operate when acquiring other creative services - therefore all of these elements are included in our service and you receive bespoke images that are 'copyright free'.  See our Top 10 Tips for Buying Architectural Photography Services  for details of what to look out for when buying architectural photography services and selecting an architectural photographer.

We will often shoot structures at dusk when lighting installations and ambient light are at their most striking.

All of the images on this site are straight from the camera and have not been enhanced by Photoshop.  We would prefer to show you images of similar quality and style to those that you are likely to receive from a shoot rather than a collection of best shots that have been enhanced for impact.  This approach also matches the entry conditions enforced by RIBA for all competition entries that we create for clients.  We provide TIFF and JPG images on DVD however images can be transferred via FTP same day where tight deadlines are involved.
