This shoot was for a story explaining the benefits of cooking once and eating twice - using the roast chicken for a lunchtime meal the following day - a strong topic for commercial photography.  Food photography has developed as a specialism of commercial photography with contemporary shallow depth of field helping the eye to be guided to the focal point in the image.
