Pizza Express, Xscape, Castleford

 

The Xscape development houses the largest real snow indoor ski slope in Yorkshire along with some of the areas most modern and eyecatching restaurants which always make great subjects for commercial photography.  The Castleford area was once in the heart of the Yorkshire coal mining region along with a thriving glass bottle manufacturing industry.  This legacy is now featured within the new Pizza Express outlet, and in the commercial photography images below, with over 2000 bottles that hang as a sculpture from the ceiling.  This prime location attracting passing traffic to the extreme sports centre also has Henry Moore tributes throughout the interior along with strong use of timber grids reflected in both mirror backed shelving and suspended ceiling grid that provide a marvellous backdrop for commercial photography.
