The Office for the Childrens Commissioner at No. 1 London Bridge provides a total of 720m² of office and participation space in the refurbished lower ground floor of a 1980’s building on the Thames with the commercial photography and architectural photography commissioned by the architectural practice involved. The space is designed to stimulate children and young people to communicate and interact with each other. The design concept creates a sense of drama in the three key areas. This includes an open, light and stimulating office space, which enhances its riverside presence; the cavern-like threshold to the Participation Space; and the adaptable Participatory set - all finished in bright, primary colours that are so attractive to children and create strong commercial photography and architectural photography.
