The Cheltenham Chase Hotel has a spa, complete with steam room, sauna, solarium, ice fountain and 3 treatment rooms.
The rooms are well appointed and Princess Anne is only one of a long list of notable guests that includes Andy McDowell and the cast of Harry Potter. The contemporary extension at the rear of the hotel was the main focus for commercial photography and architectural photography.
The hotel has a definite horse-led theme, being just half an hour from Cheltenham racecourse. It was built on the site of a hostel which housed injured airmen in World War 2. It’s just off Ermin street, built by the Romans to link Gloucester and Cirencester, and it’s close to the old Gloucester Aircraft Factory, whose legacy lives on in the names of their conference rooms; Merlin, Meteor, Javelin and Gladiator shown in the architectural photography.
