Norwest Holst have installed an air heating system that will provide the new Wembley Manor School with background heating in winter and cooling in summer illustrate in the attached commercial photography and architectural photography images. The low pressure air circulation system relies upon the ambient temperature at 2 metres below ground of 11 degrees celsius. Air drawn into the system at the above ground temperature is raised or lowered in temperature by this consistent underground environment and drawn into the school via underground ducting and floor grilles shown in the architectural photography images. The pipes are impregnated with silver that prevents the accumulation of bacteria making this system green in terms of running costs and in avoiding concerns associated with air conditioning systems.
