Oak House is a new old peoples residential and nursing home designed and constructed for the Care Group near Slough, Berkshire. The architecture of the building is particularly interesting with a three storey glazed entrance area and overhanging dished roof detail which creates strong commercial photography and architectural photography. The usage of the building completely informs the design of the structure with lounge areas for the residents in the three wings overlooking allotments, tennis courts and a garden centre. Unusual in this sector are the quality of design and also quality of finish and fittings that create an impression of a quality hotel rather than a care home.
